The Great Escape

The new Autumn stock continues to arrive. This week we received the new work from Craig Davison. You can see all of Craigs images on our website at www.originalartshop.co.uk, but for those who may be unfamiliar with his work, I will try to describe his style in less than 1,000 words.

Imagine being 10 again. You sit astride your chopper bike imagining you are Steve McQueen escaping from the Nazi POW camp, jumping the barbed wire fence in your desperate bid for freedom. You look like a 10 year old boy sat astride your bike, however your shadow reflects your imagination and there, for all to see is Steve McQueen. Craigs new images also feature Clint Eastwood, The Magnificent Seven and George Best, and earlier work still available include Abba and Madonna for the ladies, Star Wars and  the Three Musketeers for the lads. Well, they say that a picture is worth a 1000 words so here is The Great(ish) Escape – all of the new work are available on paper, on canvas board or on box canvas, all at differing price levels so there will be one to suit your budget.

Craig has said that he will not be painting any more of his shadow pictures, so this may be tour last chance to get hold of one before Craig moves onto something new.

We have also had some new originals from and artist new to us – Sarah Ewing- very attractive, small mixed media pieces with strong, vibrant colours. Worth a look.
